I am very sorry to hear the sad news of Prof. Mukherjee's death. He visited UC Davis on a few occasions notably for a special lecture series in 2016, and he was well liked among members of our department, and he was always very helpful and friendly in our communications with him over the years. Our thoughts and condolences go to his family, friends and colleagues.
