In this practical and interactive workshop, postdoctoral researchers will have the opportunity to reflect on and strengthen their individual leadership skills in the academic context. The focus begins with self-leadership as a key prerequisite for successful academic leadership. Building on this, the workshop addresses challenges arising from gender-based role expectations and subtle discrimination.
Together with the group, participants will develop concrete strategies for dealing with these challenges constructively and for expanding their scope for action in everyday leadership. Another key aspect of the workshop is the importance of building networks as a resource for support and exchange.
In addition, the workshop will explore the topic of mental and physical health as essential foundations for sustainable performance. Participants will learn effective strategies for managing stress and will work together to identify ways to balance professional demands with personal responsibilities. They are encouraged to actively contribute their own experiences.
