Starting your studies marks the beginning of a new phase in your life. Do you have lots of questions? We want starting uni to be as easy as possible for you. This page has the most important information you’ll need.
Important information about your studies
Get key information about your studies early on, such as module enrolment and preparatory courses. Whatever your degree programme, you will find that we provide general and semester-specific information. All new teacher training students will also find important interdisciplinary offers here.
Are you starting a teacher training degree?
For the different types of schools in teacher training degrees, separate events for module registration will be held digitally and in person in the last two weeks of September. Please refer to the calendar of events for new students (in German) for information for your school type. You will also be sent an email on this topic when module registration opens.

It’s great that you are now a part of Leipzig University. The University is fairly complex and will present you with some challenges at the beginning. A number of contact points provide helpful information to make it easier for you to organise your day-to-day studies.
