We are pleased to be able to provide you with an overview of the activities of the past year in the enclosed annual report of the Communication Management teaching and research area at the Institute of Communication and Media Studies at the University of Leipzig.

The year 2022 at the University of Leipzig and also in the Communication Management teaching area was marked by a new beginning after the slow fading of the Corona pandemic.

All Master's courses were able to be held completely in attendance again as of the winter semester 2021/22. Much effort also went into the reaccreditation of the Institute's degree programs, which was completed in December. In research, several new projects were launched, including on the impact of artificial intelligence on public communication using the example of deepfakes, on the use of social media in political communication in an international comparison, and on the quality of communication consulting.
