Abstract

I'm a Senior Researcher at Leipzig University’s Research Centre Global Dynamics, where I teach Global Studies and the History of International Law. I'm former EU - Marie Curie Individual fellow at Verona University’s law faculty (2016-2018), a former Ford Foundation Fellow at UNIDIR (2001-2002) and a form UNDP Middle East Program Officer. My first monograph (London 2017) on Israel’s reception of African refugees was nominated for the 2017 US National Jewish book award. My recent monograph on the drafting history of the 4th Geneva Convention for Civilians has recently appeared in print (London 2020). I holds a Habilitation and a PhD from the University of Leipzig, with previous degrees from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
