Abstract
Fiona Hynes is a native English speaker from Ireland. She obtained her B.A. Degree from the University of Limerick, FU Berlin as well as MLU Halle-Wittenberg. In 2002 she was awarded an M.A. arising from a research scholarship at the University of Limerick.
Ms Hynes is a longterm member of the Institute of British Studies. In 2003, she began teaching courses in Pronunciation & Intonation as well as Spoken and Written Academic Discourse. Since 2009 she has been involved in teacher training where she is responsible for developing and instructing courses which provide a solid grounding in TEFL in a broad range of areas. Furthermore, she mentors students in school internships.
Alongside her role as a university tutor, Fiona Hynes is also involved in the training of students preparing for their second state exam. In addition, she offers workshops on a diverse range of TEFL-related subjects for the professional development of in-service teachers in the primary and secondary school sectors.
