Goshadze offers BA and MA courses in African and Black Atlantic religions, general and regionally specific introductory courses in the study of religion, as well as courses in the anthropology of religion and material religion. These may cover a range of topics dealing with religious phenomena in Africa, such as introduction to traditional religions of Africa and critical approaches in the study of African religions, the latter chronicling the history of the study of African religions in the 19th and 20th centuries; history of Christianity in Africa, and assessment of the public presence of Pentecostal/Charismatic movements on the continent; conflict and religion in Africa; religion and imperialism. There are also courses that focus on methodological approaches, such as anthropology of religion or material religion, and those that explore specific material and sensory dimensions of religion, such as objects, body and healing, sound and listening, parties and feasting, among others.
