Monica Berti works in the fields of Ancient History, Classical Philology and Digital Humanities. In these subjects, she has published and led projects focusing on Greek History and Historiography, Greek Epigraphy and Digital Philology. She has also studied the Library of Alexandria and the tradition of Greek and Latin sources. In the field of Digital Philology and Digital Classics, Monica Berti works within the Open Greek and Latin (OGL) project at the University of Leipzig and the Perseus Digital Library. Monica Berti teaches courses in Ancient History, Digital Humanities, Digital Philology and Digital Classics. As part of her teaching activities, Monica is also program director of SunoikisisDC, which is an international consortium of Digital Classics programs developed in collaboration with the Harvard’s Center for Hellenic Studies and the Institute of Classical Studies of the School of Advanced Study at the University of London.
