Leipzig University will host the Arqus annual conference from 1 to 4 April 2025. Under the motto "European Universities at the Crossroads", around 300 participants from the nine partner universities, the associated universities in Mohyla, Ukraine, and Durham, UK, as well as representatives from other alliances will come together to discuss the future of European higher education.

Leipzig University has been part of the Arqus European University Alliance since 2019, with the universities of Granada, Graz, Lyon 1, Maynooth, Minho, Padua, Vilnius, and Wroclaw.

For the fifth time, the Arqus annual conference will bring together decision-makers, academics, students and interest groups. In addition to specialist presentations and working group meetings, the focus is on the public plenary sessions on 2 and 3 April. Topics include common digital infrastructures and the research strategies of European university alliances. An accompanying poster exhibition in the Augusteum will also provide insights into the work of the alliance.

All interested members at Leipzig University are warmly invited to attend the public plenary sessions in the Paulinum or to follow the live streams on the YouTube channel of Arqus. Prior registration is requested by email.
